Firstly, take a small bowl and add aliv/halim seeds with little water
Soak this for 15 to 30 mins until garden cress seed becomes swollen
Meanwhile, heat a heavy bottom pan on low flame
Further add ghee. when ghee started to melt, add cashews and raisins
Saute them for a min and take out to a plate
Keep the flame low and add a cup of milk, alternatively almond milk or cashew milk can be added
Bring this to boil for 2 mins
Then add soaked aliv seed and give a good mix
Boil for 2 more mins and again add dates paste
Give a good mix and bring to boil for another 2 mins
Finally add cardamom powder and roasted cashews and raisins
Give a final mix and turn off heat
Now healthy and nutritious Aliv Kheer is ready to serve!
