Hingvashtak Churna or Hingwashtak Churna is an age old ayurvedic remedy for all stomach issues. It is a best Ayurvedic medicine for indigestion and gas problem, bloating and abdominal pain. Most importantly it is an ancient digestive powder. Also here the main ingredient is “hing”, along with 8 ancient spices of India. Further “Ashta Churnam” is the another name for this medicine.

Furthermore Hing or hingu means ‘asafoetida’ and Ashta means 8 indicating this product contains 8 ingredients. And Churna means powder.  Hence the powdered form of all these ingredients called ‘Hingvashtak Churna’.

Moreover this digestive powder helps to digest the body toxins (AMA) and prevents its accumulation. The main ingredient in HINGVASHTAK CHURNA is hing or asafoetida, along with 8 ancient spices of India. This healthy churna (powder) is spicy, salty and tangy in taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp hing or asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 4 to 6 long pepper or pippali
  • 1 tbsp dry ginger powder
  • 1.5 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black cumin
  • 1 tbsp carom seeds or Ajwain
  • 1 tbsp Saindhava lavana or black salt

Instructions

Making Of The Ayurvedic Digestive Powder HINGVASHTAK CHURNA:

  • Firstly heat a small tempering pan on medium low heat and add ghee (clarified butter).
  • Once the ghee is melted up, add hing (asafoetida). 
  • Saute well for a minute and turn off the heat.
  • Now take a small blender and add the ingredients like black pepper, long pepper, dry ginger powder.
  • Next add cumin seeds, black cumin seeds and Ajwain.
  • Similarly add saindhava lavana and roasted hing-ghee mixture.
  • Blend this mixture to a powder form.
  • Now the healthy digestive powder HINGVASHTAK CHURNA for all staomach issues is ready!
  • Store this digestive powder in an airtight glass jar and can be used for 6 months.
  • Mix 1/4 tsp of this mixture with ghee and take this as a first bolus of food twice a day.
