Firstly, heat a pan on moderate flame and add horse gram
Dry roast horse gram for a minute and turn off heat
Allow to cool this roasted horse gram and then transfer to a blender jar
Next add freshly grated coconut, red chilli as per spice
Also add tamarind, salt and jaggery
Additionally, add little water and make a fine paste
Transfer the blended chutney to a bowl and keep aside
Meanwhile, prepare tempering for chutney. For that heat a tempering pan on medium flame and add coconut oil
once the oil gets heated up, add mustard, cumin, hing and curry leaves
Saute well until splutters and turn off heat
Further add finely chopped onion over the chutney and prepared tempering
Give a good mix
Now nutritious super food Horse Gram Chutney is ready to serve!
