Ingredients

  • ½ cup Aliv / Halim Seeds / Garden cress seeds
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • 1 cup palm jaggery organic
  • 1.5 cup grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp cashews finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp almonds finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • ¼ tsp cardamom seeds
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder

Instructions

  • First of all, take a small bowl and add aliv or halim seeds
  • Then add coconut water and mix well
  • Soak this for 1 hr until halim seeds swell properly
  • Meanwhile heat a pan on medium flame and add palm jaggery with little water
  • Stir well until jaggery melts completely and it should be one string consistency
  • Then add soaked aliv seeds and give a good mix so that there should be no lumps
  • Further add grated coconut and mix well
  • Now lower the heat and add ghee, Give a quick mix once
  • Similarly add chopped cashews & almonds
  • Again give a good mix
  • Finally add cardamom seeds & nutmeg powder, & give a final mix
  • Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a minute
  • When it is slightly warm, take a lemon size mixture & make into ladoo
  • Now the nutritious super food Aliv Ladoo or Halim Ladoo is ready to serve!
  • Keep this in an air tight container with closed lid. It can be stored for 15 days at room temperature & enjoy this healthy ladoo!
