Peel the skin from the sweet potatoes and cut into small pieces
In a heating pot add water, slices of sweet potatoes and chopped ginger pieces and little salt. cover the lid and cook for 20 mins until sweet potatoes are soft.
once the swee potatoes are soft, remove the lid and transfer the cooked sweet potato slices to a blender & don't waste the stock, it can be used instead of water.
Add coconut milk and little vegetable stock to a blender and make a fine puree
Transfer this puree to a heating pan again. add salt, cumin powder, nutmeg powder and crushed pepper. mix well and boil for 2 mins. add little vegetable stock or water if necessary. cook well until to get a soup consistency.
pour the soup to a bowl and enjoy with bread.
